I haven’t posted anything for quite a while, and
here I return to start a series of year-ender lists for movies released this 2011. Here are the guidelines I
followed in order to decide which films to choose.
1. The lists shall only include films that were (or will be) shown here in the Philippines via
theatrical releases, film festivals, screenings, and the likes. Moviegoers
should have been provided equal opportunities to see (and pay for) each movie. You won’t find
Melancholia, The Artist, or Moneyball
here.
2. I’ll be strict this time when it comes to release dates. If a certain movie has been released in the early part of 2010, it will be ignored. Same goes for films that have been part of last year's awards season.
3. My lists will be entirely based on personal preference, and I highly
encourage every reader to share their thoughts on the comments section below.
The first list, my most favorite movie scenes of 2011, will be posted tomorrow on the 25th of December. Happy holidays to all!
